We are heartbroken at the tragic shootings in Atlanta and the rise in hate crimes against the AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) community in Portland and the country.
We at Freeform Portland stand with the AAPI community.
We stand in solidarity with those both directly and indirectly affected by both recent and systematic attacks of hatred and violence. We reject and condemn systems and cultures that enable crimes of racist and misogynistic violence.
We stand in solidarity with our AAPI DJs, volunteers, friends, family members, supporters, and with the community both nationwide and around the world. Freeform Portland grieves with, defends, and amplifies the voices in the AAPI community.
We encourage everyone to speak up, take up space, listen to the perspectives, understand, and unite in making every voice heard.
To the AAPI community, we at Freeform Portland are with you.
